St. George's Grenada, Friday August 6th 2010 - MOEPRU - The revived cadetting programme in Grenada has been commended by young Grenadians who have just concluded a two-week regional cadet camp in St. George’s.
The Grenadian participants, who were joined at the camp by representatives from Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, have all been sounding praise for the cadet movement.

Education Minister, Senator Franka Alexis-Bernardine, is meeting with primary schools’ principals as her ministry prepares to implement changes to the curriculum of schools.
The changes are to take effect at the start of the new school year in September, and the ministry has been laying the ground by bringing all relevant parties, including parents and teachers, up to date on the proposed reforms.

Registration for the 2010 Children’s Library Annual Summer Programme is now ongoing throughout all parishes.
The Summer programme will be held from the 19th to the 30th July 2010 at libraries nation wide.
Under the theme, “Man, Technology and the Environment” activities will include Craft making, drama, field trip and craft exhibitions.
Registration cost $10.

Mental math has become one of the Ministry of Education’s Curriculum unit’s most recent approaches to stimulate young minds about mathematics, encouraging a fun and creative way to target the subject. With the support of Pearson Publisher’s, the Ministry hosted the 2010 National Grade Six techno-Math quiz, where schools having topped the district round of competition competed for the national award.
